Coming back after a long time!
Hey, I have recently started gaining interest in GW again so I decided to start playing. I really played the name since the first 2 weeks of nightfall and I do not have the EotN expansion. Will I be allowed to party with others if I am missing EotN? Most people wanted me to have certain skills which I cant get w/o EotN to join their party.

EotN can be had fairly cheaply if you look around (Amazon, New Egg, Ebay, etc,) |

Many people will expect you to have all skills. When you say "I don't have that skill, can I use something else instead?" you can and will be booted from the group. Most likely without a word. It's not personal (please believe this, it's true. it's not personal), it's just that there are players out there that can do the job just as well as you, but who have the skills that are required.
FWIW, At this very moment, I believe that EotN is being offered at half price from the online store. Edit: As a top-of-the-head example that may or may not apply to you, but helps to illustrate the point: Domain of Anguish PUGs usually want one of the two monks to bring Spotless Mind to keep the paragon clean of hexes. It does better than almost any other skill in comparison. "I don't have EotN" will (in most cases) mean you'll be removed from the group and the group leader will find someone who does. It's just how it goes, man... skills are like Pokemon. Gotta catch 'em all. Last edited by Ghull Ka; Dec 16, 2010 at 08:51 PM // 20:51.. |

Half price at the in-game store right now. If you can afford it, it's worth it.

You will be able to play with people regardless of your/them having EotN. The only thing is, not having the expansion just means you can't travel/play any of the content from there.
Basically: if player A does not have Factions, then player A simply can't access Cantha, but can still interact with people anywhere else that you have the correct campaign to. |
